I watched this last night, and was surprised at how much it made me laugh. I know for a fact that the next time I see a bottle of Tabasco, it's going to make me start giggling hysterically, "Oh, that poor, poor boy!!" Having seen some other contemporaneous photos of Mr. Morrissey circa this time period, I was ineffably entertained to see that in compliance with world-wide standards, he did indeed have that same godawful Caesar haircut as every other guy on the planet then. I thought the other leads were great too, though it caused me to think about how Jimi Mistry is so totally my usual type--and in fact somewhat resembles my beloved--since I usually tend to go for little wormy guys with dark eyes, so I'm still not really sure where this yen for the big galoot with dazzling blue eyes comes from. (Not complaining, mind you, merely bemused.) Lastly...one of my best friends recently asked for a pan-fandom picspam@LJ, so this was my submission accompanied by the comment, "Excuse me. I have to go dissolve into a seething puddle of estrogen now."

I find it similarly puzzling to square my admiration for Mr Morrissey with a weakness for Bret McKenzie - all big brown doe eyes, dark curls, and skinny, twigletty frame. Still, the sheer variety of masculine loveliness in the world is one of the things that makes life worth living

OK, I need to come back and give a more considered opinion of this movie later, but in the meantime may I just say - that scene where the three guys are learning the salsa, and Fergus is dancing with the instructor for the first time? Those are some seriously slinky hip moves that Mr Morrissey has going on there. The slight sweatiness doesn't hurt either. *loosens collar*

Having finally sat down and worked out how to screencap from YouTube (I know, I'm a bit slow that way ) I have gone a bit screencapping crazy, and as a result have a folder of mixed caps awaiting posting (expect a thread for Theseus and the Minotaur shortly Having watched this movie at the weekend I thought maybe we could do with some more pictures of Fergus in all his Scouse cheeky chappie glory, so first, in support of my comments above, may I offer this: And in addition, Fergus smiley ... suffering some light manpain... ... and indulging in a little lobbycreeping. And finally and inevitably: With Lilly's comments in the OMF thread in mind I decided not to test the boundaries of Photobucket's policies on nudity It was only when I looked at the whole folder of screencaps from various projects all together that I realised quite how much the selection was biased towards images of Mr Morrissey shirtless, or wet, or both. If apologies are required I offer them in advance Obviously I have enormous respect for him as an actor as well

Having finally sat down and worked out how to screencap from YouTube (I know, I'm a bit slow that way No apologies needed, missy. I shudder in horror every time I look at the screencaps I posted in the One Summer and The One That Got Away threads because that's when I was first learning Gimp after being accustomed to Photoshop and had not clue one what I was doing in terms of lightening/sharpening. Exceedingly well-put, m'dear. *clappity clappity* Oh, with this lad it's never light, is it? Always up to eleven...one more reason he's just so darned much fun. What gets me is how incredibly inconsistent Photobucket is on that issue, because the first two versions of that icon I made featuring Mr. Morrissey's rather astounding back porch are still up, yet the third one got deleted owing to TOS, but they were all virtually the same except for font and hue changes. I mean, WTF?! If you're gonna be fascists, be consistent fascists, already! You're apologising to this crowd for that? Srsly? LMAO, just keep telling yourself that, hon...possibly while choking yourself with a belt at the same time just to bring the point home.

Scouse cheeky chappie glory! Me likes ;D I ended up coining my own term after seeing the film (which happened to be on midnight last night on TV *shakes fist at work*), Doey Blue Eyed Cherubic Perfection, which Lilly pragamatically abbreviated to D.B.E.C.P. There was a particular scene I really need to cap that will serve to explain the sudden outburst...I'll get around to it, eventually To pinch a phrase from (current) Battlestar Galactica, "So say we all." kitty

That's it in a nutshell No hurry - I'm sure you've got more than enough to cap already! - but that'd be great Meanwhile here are a few more dodgy ones lifted off YouTube... I like the music that goes with this next sequence - it's cute. Kind of Fergus's Theme And finally... Aaaw.... I have a friend who happens to like both romcoms and salsa, so I've bought her a copy of this movie. My small contribution to Spreading the Morrissey

No hurry - I'm sure you've got more than enough to cap already! - but that'd be great I actually don't mind being a workaholic for this kind of stuff, so I do have a tendency to overload...it's not like it's really work They may not be the best quality, but you're giving me a good idea of what you're looking for image-wise, so cheers for that *thumbs up* I need a refresher in terms of the music, but that bit is soooo adorable...like a kid putting up a lost pet poster, awwwww Seconded...that pic is a similar style to the one I'm getting at re the DBECP shot I'm thinking of Any contribution is a worthy one I believe kitty

It is! And you have to admire his optimism Fergus seems a bit like a big kid generally - which is endearing in a fictional character (particularly one who comes in the shape of Mr Morrissey), but in a real-life boyfriend could get a bit infuriating

Indeed, 'big-kid' boyfriends do get a bit boring after a while kitty

I *love* Born Romantic. It was the first thing i saw David in (although i didn't know it at the time, my love for him came a few years later, i was preoccupied with Ewan McGregor at the time, silly girl).
My friends apparently don't share my love for this little British gem though. Recently 3 of us sat down to watch this late one night and within about 25 minutes the other two girls were alseep. Ahh well, i got Fergus all to myself ;D

This was one of the films I bought recently. Not a great film, but most of the actors won me over in the end. I especially liked the actor who played the cab driver. Very dishy, and he seemed like a good actor too. Some of the characters are just too "quirky" (or just plain weird) to be believable, eg. the hyprochondriac grave tender and thief, WTF? There were a lot of contrivances in the plot. How come they keep getting the same cab driver?! DM was sunny and huggable, and turned on the dramatic skills very well when required. I've been learning the guitar for nearly a year now, and I wanted to see Fergus play his guitar! ;D The naked sitting in the kitchen scene was nice. Tabasco sauce will never be the same! ;D
