Hi everyone!
I'm so glad to finally see a board for David. I've been a fan of his for years and years, since the late 90's, and always wished there was some place to meet with other fans of his!

Yay you, for having the taste and foresight to notice what some of us have only belated recognised! I have the vaguest memory of thinking that Kiffer in Hilary and Jackie was a nice bit o' sumpin-sumpin, but that was way too many years and/or brain cells ago for me to recall any more. Good on ya gettin' the memo way ahead of me there.

lol, well I do try I think the first thing I saw him in was Finney but it was a couple of years after it was on in the UK. I'm not even sure where or how I saw it on tv here. It might have been that one of my friends from England sent me a copy for some reason and then I got it converted.

Hee, Finney is supposed to arrive from Netflix on Tuesday...and aw, bless our lovely friends overseas for their kindness in our time of utmost torment like that. My buddy in Australia--who inexplicably hated Ripley, but then found herself full of unmitigated squee over Jackson Lake--has already volunteered to send me Blackpool, but until I can figger out to unlock the regional restrictions on my DVD player, I would only be able to sit here and look at the DVD longingly, wishing I could play it... And I'm already doing quite enough of that longing-looks routine where Mr. Morrissey is concerned, thank you very much.

oh and yesterday when I walked into one of those wholesale club places, the door is right by the section with all the big flat screen tvs and low and behold I walk in and there is a preview for the Other Boleyn Girl on and who just happens to be on the screen the second I walk in the door lol. It's a sign of something I'm sure lol.

Ah, but a sign of what exactly, hmmm? (I've had a total, "YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED" feeling lately, myself.) The Other Boleyn Girl is yet another movie I previously had zero interest in seeing...which has since been wearily added to my Netflix queue. *head desk*

lol I'm not sure what it was a sign of. I actually wanted to see The Other Boleyn Girl before I realized he was in it, because I loved the book and I'm a big English history dork lol.

History geeks REPRAZENT! I used to devour Jean Plaidy books when I was growing up, and perhaps embarrassingly, Anya Seton's Katherine is still one of my favourite novels. Much like with Girl With A Pearl Earring, I'd prefer to read the book first too, but for some strange reason I haven't gotten a lot of reading done lately. Can't imagine what that's about...

ok I should really be here more often than I am. I seem to spend too much time on Twitter and Facebook and I'm neglecting all of you on here. I promise to do better in the coming months of my summer break.

SHOCK! HORROR! I'm appalled at even the merest suggestion that there could be such a thing as spending too much time on Twitter. Take it back, take it back!! In all seriousness, my policy of not following people back unless their tweets bring the goods accordingly has yielded me some delightful new friends...as well as enabling me to get to know others I've met elsewhere a little better. And no worries re: not posting more--as I've already said to kitty, this should be fun, not any sort of obligation, ya know? In the final analysis, this is all about sharin' the lurve and the squee, so chill already, hon. {{hugs}}
