Hmm... not really sure about the beard... Beards just make me think of my dad (then again that's sort of how I see DM now anyway, as more of a dad/uncle type than anything else. Which probably sounds weird but there you go )

That doesn't sound weird at all, since he's probably old enough to be your dad and the dad of almost everyone else here too...except for me. Older brother, yes, but dad, most definitely not.

And as far as my take on the beard goes...as you already know (but the rest of the DMF2'ers don't), I couldn't resist asking Mr M if this was a Scottish play thing or just a newfound policy to scare small children and old ladies. Hey, at least I didn't follow it up by asking if I could call him, "Fuzzy McWuzzy" from now on...

But yeah... he probably would be old enough to be my dad... that's kinda creepy >_> (I suppose it doesn't help that the character I based on him in my fic stuff is a father as well, so that's how I write him.)

No, but once I took a gander at what a huge number of tweets he gets every day--and how so many of the people are all asking him to do something for them, grrr--I'm that much more flabbergasted that he answers as many of my tweets as he does. While of course I wish he would answer all of them, I know that's just not a feasible scenario, given how busy he is and how many others are tweeting him too (plus much of what I say just consists of smart-assed remarks that really don't require a response anyway).

The fact that he actually noticed when I was sick and didn't tweet him for a week back in December is kinda gobsmacked-making in and of itself.

Aaah... yeah, he probably would get a heap of people sending Tweets to him all the time (as would every other celeb-Twitterer really). It's still awesome that he replies to you sometimes though. He knows who you are ;D (and there's nothing wrong with smart-arsed comments. I bet he gets a kick out of reading them )
