This link comes courtesy of Felix at LJ but it might be useful to have here too as we're a bit light on info about Five Days. A police investigation set in a northern seaside resort, you say? Sounds promising I'm chuffed to see a drama set in Scarborough, which happens to be one of my favourite places in the world (though I took a friend there for the day and she just found it seedy and depressing - so it's all a matter of taste ) Another project to look forward to, anyway

I read an interview with Suranne Jones today which mentioned in passing that Five Days will be screened on BBC1 in March - which means for viewers in the UK but for those further afield, though hopefully not for ever. Meanwhile, I reread that article from the Scarborough local paper and found myself speculating about what exactly Mr M performed on that karaoke night. Given that Baby It's Cold Outside is usually a duet, I like to think he joined Ms Jones on that one. That's something I'd pay good money to see...

For some reason I hadn't previously noticed this thread (though admittedly we've got just a few at this point) and alas, the first link is no longer available; Google caches have turned up nada so far, but I'll see if I can relocate it via kitty's original sources. I read an interview with Suranne Jones today which mentioned in passing that Five Days will be screened on BBC1 in March - which means for viewers in the UK but for those further afield, though hopefully not for ever. Oh, don't worry, I'm used to it at this point. Besides, I wouldn't want run out of things to complain about with regard to being stuck Stateside, after all! This opinion seconded; motion carried.

I know - what would we do without it?! Thanks for the pics Kitty Lilly had mentioned that the Mayo interview (which I must listen to online before it disappears on Monday) promised swimming pool shots but it's nice to have visual confirmation Here's link to the BBC microsite for the series, which includes a trailer if you can find a way to make it play outside the UK. It's scheduled to run on five consecutive nights from 9pm this Monday - that's my week's viewing sorted then...

Bought this yesterday purely for the cover.... The text makes this next look like some kind of dodgy special offer (and he doesn't look too happy about it, either), but hey....

After being able to catch the series this week via the BBC website (I remain tightlipped as to how ), I come bearing a few caps. Apologies for their poor quality, as they were derived off iplayer In no particular order: Yes, he does feature in swimming trunks...more than I expected Maybe it was just me but the kid (whom I won't identify--spoilers dontcha know?) kinda reminded me of an older version of his son in T he Next Doctor. Then again I could just be seeing things These are random shots at various parts. Not that it necessarily shows with the selected caps here, but I was inclined to catch him smiling, and, in my latest fixation, dimpling (which I know is not a word, but for lack of a better term...*shrugs*), as per the second swimming shot. Tis a hard, labourious job, is capping I'll need to let the show sit in my brain a bit (it's 5 X 1 hour episodes to digest) before analysing the thing proper, but will post a review in due course kitty

Hi and welcome caro! *waves* LOL, yeah, I was wondering about the lack of chest hair too...and the overall lack of body hair generally, judging by appearances I think it may be to do with the fact that his character does a lot of swimming (aerodynamics and such). Personally, I prefer the more au naturel look meself Gawd, now I find myself thinking of Steve Carell and that waxing scene in The Forty Year Old Virgin... kitty

My exact words to celia went thusly: "OMFG, WHAT IS UP WITH THE EGREGIOUS EXTENT OF MANSCAPING?! DUDE, THE PSYCHO-FANGIRL CONTINGENT DID NOT[/U] SIGN OFF ON THIS!!" Still, well-spotted there, caro--and welcome! And ah, das kitster--once again, you are the Benevolent Bestower of Much Screencappy Goodness. *repeatedly bows in acknowledgment of your kind munificence* I concur--perhaps this would have made more sense?

Thanks so much for the pics, Kitty - I only managed to catch Five Days on iPlayer just before it vanished and had no time to make any caps, so it's great to have yours. The trend towards smiling and/or dimpling is just fine by me I'm sure you're right about the waxing being connected with Mal's swimming. Typical attention to character detail from Mr M there, but I confess I was in mourning for the missing chest hair It will return though, I hope!
