Not one for the squeamish this - a very dark psychological drama (7 parts all free on 4OD) with David as 'Danny' the husband/father of a family living as part of a witness protection programme .... go watch and report back!!!!!!!!
I'll save my opinion til we can have a discussion ;D

Sorry if I sound a bit thick here, but what's 40D? It does sound like a fab series though, if you can get it on DVD I might just buy it

Oh right - d'oh! I don't think it's fair that British TV channels restrict their internet services to Britain only, programmes like that should be available for everyone to watch, no matter where the are in the world.

I've seen the first three episodes. I'm enjoying it but you're right it is a very dark drama.

The abusive husband, towards the end of the series, who the mother and daughter are running away from (sorry i can't remember names, i watched it when it was originally aired) is played by one of my other favourite ever actors, Ian Puleston-Davies, a little known bit-part actor, but who is brilliant at playing the bad guys

I loved Cape Wrath, I hadn't even heard of it till I looked on David's IMDB profile and I ordered it on dvd. It was a very weird series but was very enjoyable.

I don't think it's fair that British TV channels restrict their internet services to Britain only, programmes like that should be available for everyone to watch, no matter where the are in the world. Much as I may constantly bemoan these circumstances myself, I understand that cos we non-UK'ers don't pay licence fees, this precludes our ability to partake accordingly. (Occasionally I like to mix things up a little by actually being reasonable, dontcha know.) And for anyone who's interested (...Bueller? Bueller?), Her Fabulous Kittenicity passed along this link wherein Meadowlands can be viewed in its entirety online. Though I've only watched the first two episodes thus far, between the blindfold and gratuitous manly use of power tools, I'm pretty much down for the count already, hormonally speaking.

I've only just started watching this online, but predictably enough by the end of episode one I'd gone and ordered the DVD (plus my DVD of Framed arrived this morning - w00t! My shelf of DM-related material is expanding daily ) Ohhhh, yes and yes In fact, once my DVD arrives there might be some caps coming up of both those sequences. I also had an 'aha!' moment on realising the source of one of your splendid LJ icons: Suddenly it all makes perfect sense

Damn, I've really got to finish watching this. I am Made of Naught But Fangirl Fail there. Dunno if Lilly's posted this anywhere, but I took a shining to this one (latent sadistic tendencies coming out yet again) I could try to frantically scatter caveats to the wind here, attempting to assert that I simply was channeling your unique sensibilities *cough* when I made that icon, but as well you know, I am less than adept at that whole 'innocent-face' routine. Some of us have better poker faces than others. And thus I can only resort once more to the time-honoured classic...I was dead at the time! On the moon...with Steve! You're buying that, right? RIGHT?!

A couple of caps to keep things ticking over... Just because this moment made me laugh: ... and a few more: In the last one there's something about the combination of his lips, the contour of his throat and that divine chest that just reduces me to absolute quivering hormonal mush

Ah, I like to wake up to the sight of DM blindfolded in the morning... ... ... ... Oops, wrong film A couple of caps to keep things ticking over... Thanks for these wee snippets of goodness! I saw CW/ML ages ago (seemingly) so was wondering what that first cap is of exactly? Got it in one, at least in terms of my thinking on the subject of sleeping shots generally ;D I wonder whether my fondness for sleeping pics has to do with the fact that he looks so goddamn gorgeous, or, more to the point, his inherent vulnerability being in that position

It's just a tiny moment from early on in the first episode (the only one I've seen so far) where Brenda comes round to introduce herself to the new family. She's so overexcited at meeting Danny that she involuntarily curtsies - which he greets with a sort of amused confusion. I just thought it was cute and funny ;D
