Oh - Family of Blood? Is that the one with the creepy kids in gas masks? I heard something about it but didn't actually see it. No wonder I didn't recognise him from that or get the pun! Spot the non-Whogeek....

Spot the non-Whogeek.... Nup, the kiddies with gas masks appear in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances eps. Family of Blood is the one where The Doc turns into a human (John Smith) to track down this family of psycho aliens (as if there's any other kind around) in the 1900s pre WWI. What's kinda sad is that I know this stuff and I'm not really a Who-geek. If you were to query me on the classic series I'd fail dismally BTW, I got to seeing Nowhere Boy again, this time outdoors, under a perfect clear night at the Botanical Gardens last Tuesday. It was as gorgeous this time round as the first ;D The one thing that had me somewhat annoyed was not being able to take a snapshot of Mr. M's first appearance (in remarkably dapper attire, hence my desire to photograph the moment ), due to my mobile camera flash shining on this middle-aged couple, who decided to lump themselves (and their beanbags) smack bang in front of my friend and I about 5 minutes before the film was meant to start kitty

What's kinda sad is that I know this stuff and I'm not really a Who-geek. If you were to query me on the classic series I'd fail dismally No, what's truly sad is that I've been a Whogeek longer than you, my dear, have even been alive and I could probably answer any questions about the classic series with ease (depending on the era, however; I've just been getting acquainted with Roger Delgado's Master lately, and despite my extreme-bordering-on-inappropriate level of affection for John Simm's rendition of the character, Anthony Ainley will always be "my" Master). Before this drifts any dangerously closer to Jackson Lake/Master slashfic territory, however... ::your humble admin stares off into space, only returning to the task at hand several minutes later with a slightly mortified look on her face:: ...uhm, howzabout those long-promised Nowhere Boy screencaps, hmmm? Once again brought to you by the munificent auspices of das Kitzinitza, and particularly appreciated by this denizen of North America, since I haven't even been able to nail down a definite theatrical release date on this side of the pond, never mind one for the DVD. (And thus since I haven't seen the film, these obviously won't be in chronological order...not that they usually are anyway.) (So totally diggin' on the hep cat vibe in this next, btw.) Aw, who would wanna hurt poor little baby Paul? Possibly my favourite sequence out of the bunch. Incidentally, although I wasn't able to find any photos of the actual Bobby Dykins (not any that Google image search brought up, anyway) but here's some background information on who he was, at least.

Cheers for posting these caps Lilly! Of all the recent offerings from Mr. M, I'd rate this film as the most watchable of the lot Before this drifts any dangerously closer to Jackson Lake/Master slashfic territory, however... LOL, may I ask which 'Master' you're referring to here? For its obvious silliness, this one always gets me into fits of giggles Now you know why I made the comparison to this guy off Dexter, well, in terms of wardrobe selections Aw, that would be spoilering, but suffice to say it leads to a very emotional moment in the film I didn't actually realise it while watching the film, but now that you mention it, it is pretty damn hilarious how him and the girl reflect and contrast in their expressions during the events that unfold before them ;D kitty
