Looking the Part: Actor David Morrissey reveals why he is returning to the stage after 10 years, his excitement at landing a cameo in Doctor Who and why he's itching to get rid of his dodgy moustache. By Amy Raphael. Please forgive the fluctuating type-size - I'll come back and repost resized versions later if I get a chance. Re the sock incident, I don't know what to be more surprised/amused by - the fact the dresser told DM that one of the socks had been previously worn by Kevin Bacon (was that really supposed to make him more inclined to wear it?) or the fact that they actually re-use the things! This is a multi-million-dollar movie - can't they afford to buy the leading man a new one?

Aw, thank you sooo much for posting this, hon! Youse is bursting with awesomesauce, you is! Though I'm now LMFAO because I liked that fridge too! Gotta say, though, I am immensely thankful no-one has ever told me, "Please forgive me if I don't get an erection." (Heard, "I don't know what's wrong--this has never happened before!" a few times, though, which is more than bad enough...rather difficult for a gal not to take that personally, ya know?)

Aw, thank you sooo much for posting this, hon! Youse is bursting with awesomesauce, you is! Can I second that And can I third that? Chrome-finish fridges do look rather classy *beams* Normally I find it really tedious when journos trot out the same old questions to actors about doing sex scenes and stuff, but that anecdote certainly put a different, if odd, spin on things! LMAO...I'm just having a difficult time trying to picture him saying that in my head kitty

My pleasure Yeah, me too - though I also strongly suspect this to be a case of Mr M. making a flippant comment that the interviewer has taken seriously. Wouldn't be the first time I, on the other hand, can picture him saying that quite easily. I don't know what that says about my self-esteem

There was that other comment re Girl with the Pearl Earring and Colin Firth... ;D Oooh, that's a worry I guess in my own little idealised demented brain that perceives him as...well...sex on legs, I couldn't conceptualise him ever saying such a thing to anyone kitty

Don't mind me - just indulging in a little British self-deprecation That perception is not just in your demented brain, believe me

Don't mind me- just indulging in a little British self-deprecation Being an Aussie, we generally drink from the same 'self-deprecating/taking the p*** out of ourselves' type of cup...don't we? Well that's reassuring kitty

I've been sporfling off-and-on all night at the phrase, "sex on legs." That is sooo ending up on an icon if not a banner outright! But on a more serious note, I was thinking about one element of this article, and at least in my experience, people who are truly slaves to their own vanity rarely tend to admit it (or indeed, are even aware of it). At least in my own case, I can be phenomenally vain at times, but that's generally undercut by fairly monumental insecurity...gee, I've just described the human condition there, huh? *rolls eyes at self* Loved the bike helmet story especially, though--perhaps a bit like how my high school best friend and I spent far more time talking up and publicising our band than we did actually hunkering down to write songs or learning how to play our instruments properly, never mind actually getting gigs. A misspent youth is a joy forever.
