Thanks for these articles Felix! Found this little point interesting (more on a personal note than anything else, cos I work with refugees/humanitarian entrants): "He is also organising some children’s drama workshops in Beirut on behalf of the United Nations." Awesome *two thumbs up* kitty

I practically gave myself an aneurysm just now trying to figure out where the post about this article had gone, 'til I realised that felix had posted it at LJ and not here yet...though of course all credit should go to felix for passing this one along as well (hope I haven't co-opted your forthcoming post here or anything, barátom). As I commented there, nice to see how Mr. Morrissey is really stretching himself by playing yet another cop, eh?

Thanks for posting that, Lilly I'm consistently impressed by Felix's ability to find these snippets of Morrissey-related news Weeelll, there's cops and there's cops… I'm thinking this'll be more Wallander than The Bill Admittedly the notion of 'an intuitive, old-school detective who is willing to break the rules' doesn't sound exactly mould-breaking (if someone made a drama about a detective who never broke the rules, now that'd be novel. It’d make for boring telly possibly, but it'd be novel) but something about the concept must have grabbed Mr Morrissey's imagination if he's even prepared to co-produce it. Maybe he's read the books and can see the potential. I await developments with interest - not that I'll be able to see it anyway if it's on Sky, mind you

I'm consistently impressed by Felix's ability to find these snippets of Morrissey-related news Three words: Advanced Google Search Having read the book, I think I can safely say it won't be anything like The Bill. But I guess in these economically delicate times, it seems studios can't really afford to be all that imaginative. Then again, DM could always try his luck again in the states... *tumbleweed rolls by* Although going back on topic, IMO, DM's biggest challenge will be portraying a 'Weeble' in human form (which is how Thorne is described in the book, LOL!) ;D Just as an adjunct to the talk around Sleepyhead, here's a link to Mark Billingham's website, which has info on the books and a forum which MB himself posts on. This has been on the cards for a while and MB has been quite keen to have DM on board, from all accounts kitty
