Courtesy of felix's handiwork, here's a link to DM's latest appearance on Simon Mayo's programme talking up his new films, Don't Worry About Me and Nowhere Boy. He appears about 1:10 in and is on for about 40 minutes, so it's a good opportunity to kick back, relax and think of England Hehe...funny and entertaining stuff ;D kitty

And for good measure, here's the Clive Anderson interview as well. (Please be advised that the podcast in that link is only available for the next six days, however.) In an attempt to drown out how loudly my dad had cranked up the tv, I listened to both radio segments on headphones, and am not at all sure I can recommend such endeavours for the faint of heart. (I kept thinking of Noel Fielding's wonderfully evocative comment about Julian Barratt's "dark chocolate voice," and how the mellifluous tones then radiating down into my eardrums were more reminiscent of creamy caramel infused with liberal lashings of whisky.) Though on a less whimsical note--and as I just commented to kitty earlier tonight--I now can really hear the no-doubt-smoking-related raspiness in his voice, and srsly want to whap him upside the head about that.

Perhaps he just has a cold. Looking at that shot reminded me of the phrase "death warmed up", and the fact that when suffering the flu, he would pretty much look like a living embodiment of that phrase...poor dear kitty

I am a mean, mean person for having laughed for so long and so loudly at that photo (no doubt proving how misguided my buddy Zuhamy was to nominate me as the Queen of Love at Twitter today). Basic Empathy Fail!

He looks positively ashen, the poor love. What gets me is, that picture's on offer from a professional agency. Is that the best shot of him they can manage?
