i`m hugh fan of David Tennant got my own little forum ;D, John Simm, Stephen Fry, list goes on ;D ..also i`m into Bollywood & Chinese, Korean Films

To answer your question, I'd also add Basic Instinct 2, The Reaping, Framed, U Be Dead (if you can that on DVD there), The Suicide Club and Cause Celebre. They all feature him as a main character, aside from the ones already mentioned

Definitely agree with all the suggestions so far, with Blackpool and Our Mutual Friend, my personal faves, at the top of the list. The one thing I'd add that hasn't been mentioned is his debut in One Summer (1983): quite apart from the novelty of seeing him as a gangly teenager he gives a fantastic performance. Great Willy Russell script, too. Definitely one to see if you get the chance!
