While I was watching State of Play, it occurred to me that DM would make a great Bond. He has the sartorial elegance, Bond voice, the raw masculinity, can convey a dangerous quality, has the comic timing to deliver a (sexist) quip and the acting chops for dramatic scenes. The recent Bonds have been lacking in some of those aspects. I'd love to see DM do a one-off Bond film. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't say no to seeing that, although I do like Daniel Craig in the role It'd be interesting to see how DM played it though...

I'd watch it (obviously ) but i must say i'm not much of a Bond fan and i do prefer seeing David do more dramatic, deep roles than out and out action.

I'd like to see how he'd go doing more comedic roles actually, but that's just me - I like to laugh at the funny I'm wondering if Mr Morrissey would make a better James Bond villain than the Bondy man himself, hmm...

Oooooh Illyria, I love the Bond villain idea!!!! Ravish Me Ripley, I love to see David do deep dramatic roles and comedies and more dancing on screen! ;D No reason why his Bond film can't have deep dramatic moments. Maybe a remake of On Her Majesty's Secret Service? I haven't actually seen it, but the plot sounds like major angst territory!

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is the one with George Lazenby and Dame Diana Rigg, isn't it? I haven't seen it either but I know the basic premise. Could be quite an interesting one to tackle...

Bond Villain appeals to me much more As long as they don't make him shave his head - ala Robert Carlyle in The World Is Not Enough
