My tweets are mostly boring too so don't worry about it. I use my account mainly for stalking celebs...though i have been tweeting rather alot recently. But that's just boredom.

It's rare that a celeb would follow a fan back unfortunately, although I guess I can understand why they wouldn't - especially if they have a bazillion people following them I've sent Tweets to DM before and he hasn't replied to any of them D: Although I have been lucky to have replies from some of the other celebs I follow. I guess it just depends on whether they see it or not. And you can only send a private/direct message to the people who follow you so you wouldn't be able to send one to him. Hope that helps in some way >_> My explanation skills are kinda bad

I think you described Twitter perfectly to Kelsey If you start a tweet with @davemorrissey64 (it is TERRIBLE that i know that off by heart) then David will (in theory) be able to see your message without him following you. However, that will all depend on how many people tweet him at that time - it might get lost inside a sea of tweets directed towards him.

Sometimes if you catch someone (a celeb) at a bored moment you can have a decent enough conversation with them. I had a lovely conversation with James Thornton (Emmerdale actor) the other night because he was on a train bored and i was sat at home bored. He's not following me or anything and i don't really know him (i don't even watch Emmerdale - i know him as Joanna Page's husband!) but it ws easy enough to communicate with him via good ol' Twitter

It's probably better to Tweet a more obscure celeb if you want to get a response from them - the ones that don't have as many followers would be more likely to see your message to them

How many times do you reckon you need to tweet and be tweeted back by a minor celebrity before you can call them a Twitter friend?

I know i'm sad (believe me, i *know* i am ) but this is important for coversations down the pub
