LOL! Um... Probably if they send you Tweets on a slightly regular basis? I dunno (and probably if they actually follow you back. Oh Em Gee how cool that would be Although I'm boring so they'd probably unfollow me after reading through some of my crappy Tweets LOL! ) So that probably didn't really answer your question at all..... >_>

Aww no...no follow back Our Twitter friendship must be in my head. Ahh well, it's more fun in my head I'm pretty boring too (you may have noticed...heh) but i have found this small circle of Aidan Gillen fans who are pretty entertaining and when tweeting them back my tweets make literally zero sense. Which would be exactly the sort of thing which would intrigue me if i read it on someone else's page

Aaw... Well, it's still nice if you at least get a few replies to your Tweets every so often, heh LOL I probably write a lot of random stuff as well that wouldn't make a lot of sense out of context

kelsey - yay! I got all warm fuzzy feelings when my first "celeb" tweeted me. It's silly really but they really do mean something to us fangirls don't they? These "celebs" - who are just ordinary people really - will never know! By the way, my first tweet back was Shaun Dooley - one of my favourite British TV actors - he's been in Red Riding, South Riding and Five Days with DM. They tweet each other alot and seem to be quite good friends Illyria - i got quite excited myself!! I saw his tweet in my feed and noticed it was directed to you and i nearly screamed! Hence my rather over excited tweet to you myself

Teehee! ;D Well it was also directed at Lilly as well but it was still cool anyway ;D My first celeb Tweet-back was from Peter Serafinowicz - I told him that his show was available on DVD in Australia before the UK release and he sent me DMs about it, haha I got all stupidly excited about that ;D

Heck yes! He has an awesome voice ;D (not quite as good as Matt Berry, but still ) I've received tweets from Charlie Higson and Christian Coulson as well (I got super excited about the CC one ) It's kinda sad how we react like that I guess... But we need some sort of thrills in our lives, haha

DM actually tweeted me yesterday, OMG... I was all giddy from excitement I'm happy that you're happy Illyria! I have an instinctive and probably unreasonable aversion to Twitter. :-/Just the name is enough to set my teeth on edge, and "followers" makes me think of Jesus and his disciples! ;D Is it basically like a forum?

;D ;D ;D LOL I wasn't keen on joining up either at first, but one of my favourite Supernatural actors (Misha Collins) joined up so I figured... yeah, ok, I might as well (and I prefer his term for followers - "minions" - ie: Misha's Minions ;D ) It's not like a forum really, no. It's a bit more like Facebook but without the thread of comments that you'd normally see when people reply to your status updates. Having a look at one might give you a better idea of what it's like... twitter.com/davemorrissey64 ;D

Entering into this conversation belatedly--as is far too often my wont--I'm here, though if you follow me, please be sure and tweet me to say hello (and hey, why not let me know you're a DMF2'er, hmmm?) because I tend to block about 98% of my new followers at this point--just waaay too many spambots and the like anymore. I think if anything, Twitter shows exactly how much famosos are indeed just like regular people (again, just with more money and less privacy), because I can't count the number of so-called "celebrities" that tweet ceaselessly about the most incredibly mundane items. There also seem to be a lot of them that don't understand--or don't want to understand--that the nature of Twitter is to interact with people, not to just make random pronouncements to all and sundry. Some famous folk I've long admired do that, and it's hella frustrating--though I also understand it's part of the wall they have to put up as part of their public persona. At the same time, though, it's also wonderfully revealing in terms of revealing a side to people you hadn't expected; apart from Mr M's sly wit--which I'd had glimpses of in interviews before, but via his tweets has since has made me LMAO on several occasions (especially his banter with Hugh Bonneville, another fun tweeter himself)--during the royal wedding I was totally completely in stitches due to former Doctor Who companion Nicola Bryant's absolutely hilarious commentary. Who knew that Peri was such a gifted raconteur, eh? I think in terms of tweeting anyone famous, though, it's mainly important to be two things: tough-skinned and consistent. As I noted previously, Mr M has over 11,000 people following him, so I imagine it's hard enough for him to keep up with the people he does follow, let alone the ones that he doesn't. Thus if he doesn't respond to your tweets, don't take it personally--and keep at it. (At least, that's what seems to have worked for me, to some extent...though it may also be partly because I don't spend much time telling him how great he is, but rather hassle him about things like that appallingly unattractive bowler hat he wore in South Riding [to which he amusingly responded, "Bowler was health and safety issue!!!"].) Thus marianne, I don't know if we've presented much of an argument for you joining Twitter, but I'd be very glad if you did, simply because it provides such a great opportunity to get to know people better.
