I've already posted about this@LJ, but one of the things I love most about Twitter--apart from how it enables me to keep up with my homeys, which is of course the most important element--is the perspective it gives me on other people's lives. And because of following Mr. Fry therein, this morning I woke up to this...and am pleased to report I was in fact eventually able to stop laughing. I SO am going to be humming, "I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay," for the rest of the day now.

Re: the above--I'm not sure exactly how long this link remains viable, but if you click on, "Friday" therein, Mr. Morrissey's interview starts approximately 1:45 into the show (though of course the preceding bit with Mr. Fry is well worth a listen as well). To steal from--uhm, I mean, in homage to--kitty, some highlights: ✓ Nice for us to have such illustrious company also making fun of the haircut, vis à vis the "terrifying skinhead" assertion. ✓ Glad they gave him some tea; poor dear sounded a bit raspy. ✓ Comparing the new--and as we all know without having seen it, vastly inferior--version of State of Play to going to the wedding of an ex-wife with whom you're still in love = WIN. ✓ I've had Let the Right One In on my Netflix queue for a while now (cos my buddy in Oz--the one who isn't kitty, cos he's, like, a boy--has been rhapsodising about it for ages), but on the strength of this latest recommendation, I'm bumping it up to the top of the list. Cos ya know, sometimes I actually do watch movies for non-hormonal reasons, ya know (...she said defensively). ✓ Referencing Pirandello with regard to Hannah Montana: The Movie made me incredibly homesick for the U.K., because you simply don't get those sort of allusions in the mainstream U.S. media. ✓ Though to be even more appallingly girly than usual, I loved hearing him laugh so much. *blushes*

THANKS for the hand shot ... Gotta say it again, lucinda...child, ya worry me. Though related to my previous post, owing to something kitty sent me, I have thence been able to confirm that while I may be able to eventually stop pointing and laughing at the haircut, it prolly won't happen in this lifetime.
