Seeing as though we seem to have found another shared interest (aside from David) over on another topic, i thought i'd start this train of thought and everyone can just chip in, as and when they want.

I have to agree. I love Life on Mars and hate the American remake of it. Gene Hunt is amazing and the chemisty between all the cast of that show is hard to imitate. I did also like Ashes to Ashes but I think again because of Gene!

I wasn't as keen on A2A i have to say, LOM was really what it was all about for me. I'm a Gene/Sam shipper, and so Gene/Alex doesn't really do it for me. And i'm a 70s girl through and through ;D

Dragging up a rather old thread here but what the hell - I guess it's kind of topical at the moment, especially since A2A has come to an end now  I too am a fan of this series, and I liked A2A as well. I've started re-watching LoM and A2A from the start following the series finale of A2A, and it's all really quite interesting to view everything with a different perspective, I must say. |
