www.guardian.co.uk/film/2005/nov/12/features.weekendTotally relate re: the youngest child thing, cos I'm one too (albeit immeasurably thankful I'm not the middle 'un, cos they're always the most screwed up), though after reading this, I'm now wondering if we need to add Colin Firth+David Morrissey to the ongoing, "Would most like to see make out like crazed weasels" list...?! I'm actually reading Girl With A Pearl Earring right now--which I'd meant to do for ages, since Vermeer has always been one of my major ravin' faves--but in terms of not knowing which of them to fancy...oh, I'm pretty clear on that particular issue, all told. Look where this is being posted, after all.

Doh! Never trust Netflix without checking with IMDb first, lolz.
Not the first time those winsome bastards have led me astray, either. *shakes tiny impotent fist in rage at suppliers of misleading info*

Damn, shame I couldn't give you a heads up bout GWAPE earlier. I borrowed the DVD from my local library a few weeks ago and his missing scenes aren't even in the extras! I wonder whether it had to do with this bruhaha bout stealing Colin Firth's thunder (makes me LOL just thinking bout it actually...hmmm...scowling duel, anyone?) kitty

Damn, shame I couldn't give you a heads up bout GWAPE earlier. I borrowed the DVD from my local library a few weeks ago and his missing scenes aren't even in the extras! Actually, even with such a horrendous omission from the cast, I really liked it (though as per usual--and much like The Other Boleyn Girl--I preferred the book to the film version); since Vermeer has always been one of my favourite artists, I thought the art direction and cinematography were astounding, since so much of the film looks exactly like a Vermeer painting. So am I to construe that this is your vote for the Morrissey/Firth Snogfest, then? Stand up and let your vote be counted, mes amis! And hee, the Scowling, Brooding, Someone-Stole-My-Cookie Glowering All-Stars...a battle for the ages, there.

Ah, what the hey! *Brings beanbags and popcorn in anticipation of said snogfest* As for the SBSSMCGAS (couldn't be bothered typing out the lot again in full!) you can add Richard Armitage to that list...IMO ;D kitty

And hee, the Scowling, Brooding, Someone-Stole-My-Cookie Glowering All-Stars...a battle for the ages, there. Having already cited this to kitty@LJ--and because Stephen Fry is by no means alone in his quest for providing online clarification--here's what prompted the whole, 'cookie' line of thought in the first place: And hence... Et cetera. (Nothing like running a concept straight into the ground, huh?)

Ooooh, I wonder....if you scratched his neck, would he start purring Obviously a great deal of time and empirical evidence would be needed to establish whether this is in fact a valid possibility. And once I get done snickering at the fact that my status herein is now decreed as a, "Full Member," I'll be getting right on that...

Obviously a great deal of time and empirical evidence would be needed to establish whether this is in fact a valid possibility. LOL! Yes it would. Where do I sign up to do the testing? LMAO!! That's a rather prestigious position you're in there! ;D kitty

here's what prompted the whole, 'cookie' line of thought in the first place All-too-typically, I slightly misspoke when I said that, cos it was actually after seeing that LOLcat and then the following photo that originally caused me to wonder, "Why does the poor guy always look like someone's just stolen his damn cookie?" As further case in point... I'll stop now. No, really. LMAO!! That's a rather prestigious position you're in there! Definitely not the sort of position that first springs to mind where this particular topic of discussion is concerned, but hey, whatcha gonna do...?

LOL at the bit where the interviewer categorises DM crushes as either State of Play or 'Blackpool for the specialist taste'. ;D
