I just finished watching this the other night, and I've gotta say, Andy Serkis in purple pseudo-Armani = Made of Total Mid-1990's Win! 
Though because I live in California--where smokers are viewed as only negligibly better than people who crush puppies--I couldn't help but notice that almost single character in Finney puffs up an absolute storm! Clearly this considerably pre-dates that whole, "Smoke Free Newcastle" campaign, and I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone who might be trying to quit...or at the very least, the DVD rental should be accompanied by a pack of Nicorette gum to be on the safe side.
But there was some other fella in this besides Mr. Serkis, wasn't there? C'mon, guys, do I have to say it at this point? Seriously?
*sigh* Alrighty then. Lawdamighty, but that there is one seriously beautiful man.
I can only conclude by citing the words of Winston Churchill (though I think Keith Olbermann is more famous for this quote now): "I have nothing more to say that is either relevant or true."
