would really appreciate it, i'm not very good on photoshop although i do try hard

I'm still made of fail when it comes to using Gimp instead of Photoshop (ditto finding a Mac torrent for PSP that works), but would you want text, and if so, what would you want it to say?

Though it's pretty elemental and you can't do any work in layers--which hence confines you to a single image, unless you've Photoshopped 'em together beforehand--I've found you can goof around with ideas at this site, for whatever it's worth.

I did a bit of goofing around in Gimp and Photobucket myself, and even though I just did these to make kitty laugh, I'll post 'em here for the halibut.

Okay, while the current banner is definitely only there on an interim basis, the following is not, I repeat, NOT going to be its replacement.

Though I know celia has already seen it, for anyone else who's interested-- just an idea I had in the early days of learning Gimp, after I had mounted an armed insurrection Romana was sufficiently unwise enough to have granted me admin powers. (Again, fairly NSFW, but that's par for the course around here at this point.)

The problem with trying to catch up with processing my huuuuuge backlog of screencaps is the fact that I tend to get comedy banner ideas in the process.





I'm thinking of modifying the top one to possibly use as the main banner here, because I'm increasingly annoyed with how the current banner looks. Any thoughts? (Cos y'know, you guys are the ones who have to look at it, and everything...)

LOL! Excellent banners I'm especially partial to the second, as you know how much I like me a little Headstone.

Personally I agree it would be nice to have a change of banner for the forum - I've often thought the existing picture doesn't really do Mr M justice, or at least that it's not very typical. I don't have strong feelings about a choice of replacement, though - what does everyone else think? (Characteristic fence-sitting from me here )
