You can add Framed (Eddie/Timothy Dalton) to that list of subtexty slashiness (aside from Tennant and Simm of course). So let's review the tally for the 'must-snog-like-crazed-weasels-naotiems' list, shall we? David Morrissey and... ...David Tennant ...John Simm ...Michael Sheen ...Colin Firth (unforgivable-missing-DVD-extras category there) ...Paul McGann ...Timothy Dalton (now that is a switch scenario just waiting to happen!) Hey, a gal can hope...or at least further indulge her hopelessly over-active imagination... Contrary to how some of my comments may well indicate otherwise, I'm not either. I'm all about the whole package, which of course, uhm, includes the whole package, as it were. Obviously this will require a considerable extent of close and careful research...and I think I can safely say that I'm, erm, up for it. *blushes profusely* Aw, darlin', I had no cause to doubt your veracity, but thanks for the linky goodness nonetheless. From the quote it seems like he perhaps was just making a joke about CGI...not that they actually could have done anything to improve on perfection there anyway. I took a quick gander at the gallery there too, and will get back to you in a few weeks when I've finished laughing at the photo from the Olivier Awards: Sorry, but the first thought there once again was, "Oh, honey, what bet did you lose to get that haircut?" Still, it's great to see how utterly lovely his wife is; I'm sure their kids have to be gorgeous too, given such an unbeatable genetic combination. I hafta admit that Priscilla remains one of my favourite movies...because once again, I am a gay man in every single way but my gender. What you call, "maturity," I call...uhm, never mind. And succeed to a wholly egregious extent. *clappy hands*

So let's review the tally for the 'must-snog-like-crazed-weasels-naotiems' list, shall we? David Morrissey and... Yeah, sorry I forgotsies bout the others..was kinda half-asleep while typing And with Tennant it's X 2 Was going to go further into preferred orientation of said pairings, but thought how it might be more appropriately elaborated upon in LJ instead Just wondering if you've seen Framed by any chance? If you have you'll get it when I say Dalton's character worms into Morrissey's heart through his stomach...just like the tried and true cliche Well, in thinking about it, you've already got a ready-made cast listed right there Sorry re posterior fixation comment, was probably an overreaction to having to put up with the multitudes of fangirls who continually rant on about the virtues of DT's posterior...I'm sorry, but me don'ts get it! Like yourself I take in the whole package, but especially the, erm...never mind RE the CGI quote, actually on second thought you might be right. Then again it might've been reverse CGI in accordance with the clause in Ms Stone's contract which stipulates that absolutely no-one may look more perfect than her in said film Yeah, it was kinda the other reason for providing the link...LOL. It'll be like Burns on the Simpsons...weeks later I'll randomly think of it and start laughing again, and no-one around me will understand why. BTW I agree on both counts. But still, I wonder why in the feck she let him out of the house looking like that *cues evil pointing monkey* Goodness, a fedora might've helped retrieve the situation somewhat! Nonetheless, it's hard proof he hasn't employed a stylist. Yeah, it seems like pretty much all my crushes would scrub up pretty well in fishnets and lipstick...dunno bout DM though. But it's a thought...a highly amusing thought ;D Aw go on, what do you call it? Aw, thanks *peers down and shuffles feet* kitty

Yeah, sorry I forgotsies bout the others..was kinda half-asleep while typing Ce n'est pas un problème, ma chèrie. Given the rather vast difference in our time zones, one of us is gonna be sleep-deprived 'n wonky one way or t'other. So I'm guessing we have two votes there so far, then? C'mon, other gals (and hopefully some guys as well), chime in already! I haven't come up with a sig line for this forum yet, but at the other it's, "That's a little inappropriate, isn't it?" (David Tennant). Alas, that seems to be my modus operandi here too, I'z afeards. Dang, I was trying to start a new thread for every project of Mr. Morrissey's after I've watched it, but totally dropped the ball there, sorry. (Somehow I think y'all can live, actually.) Ah, if only I could say the same vital organ was involved in my case...antacids might at least be an option then. *shifts uncomfortably in seat* Still, after seeing Penélope Cruz with Mr. Morrissey in Captain Corelli's Mandolin I couldn't help thinking, "Hey, wasn't I hanging off you and screeching like a howler monkey the last time we saw each other?" Whether ready-made cast or simply ultimate wishful gang-bang scenario, I suspect it may never happen. Colour me an empiricist. You're apologising to me about posterior fixation comments? Seriously? I am suddenly reminded of that quote from Friends about, "Oh, hello, kettle? This is Monica. You're black." Yep, just not enough junk in the trunk there, huh? If this is the case, then I should think a call to her attorneys might be in order about now. I suspect a pre-emptive strike of sorts, possibly attempting to forestall the type of shenanigans associated with an incipient midlife crisis...? Very wise of her, in any case. One can never be too careful... Congratulations, I am now wiping Diet Pepsi off the keyboard after having scared the cat to the other side of the room with my exceedingly unladylike guffaws. Oh, be still my heart. While my first two big crushes were on Jack Wild in H.R. Pufinstuf and Davy Jones on The Monkees (because yes, I am in fact older than dirt--though that does explain the lifelong fixation on little wormy guys), the next two were Joel Grey in Cabaret and Cesar Romero as the Joker on Batman--two less-than-het fellows in a whole lotta makeup, which accounts for my lifetime absorption with drag queens...the less convincing, the better. And something tells me that with such an example of--how did you put it so superbly at LJ? "Unashamed masculine brawniness?"--it wouldn't be terribly convincing in this case. Still searingly hot, though. *fans self* Lucinda, I haven't even begun to plumb the depths of Morrisseyan goodness at YouTube yet, but I will definitely check that out. (I started to say that I don't want to make things any worse, but then immediately thought, "Making it worse? How could it be worse? Jehovah, Jehovah, JEHOVAH!") Though keeping your needs in mind, I did include a bit of ye olde Hand Porn in this thread: davidmorrisseyfans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=davidpics&action=display&thread=71Nevertheless, I shall set to work addressing this obvious oversight immediatement.

Ah, if only I could say the same vital organ was involved in my case...antacids might at least be an option then. *shifts uncomfortably in seat* Well I might just have to start a thread meself *adds 'post Framed thread' to mental list of things to do* Let's just say I did me a heap of junk eating while watching this movie. It's a mandatory requirement. Not least of all because of the consistent references to food Um, that description of Cruz's, erm, part in proceedings wouldn't be all that far off the mark, actually. I thought you hadn't seen Framed yet Me thinks I've got more junk in my trunk...and I'm Kylie-esque in size *makes a mental note of said sage advice* Well, that pic was simply begging for such a derisive comment to be made. Call it a back-handed compliment, if you will Am wondering whether you've made light of this 'absorption' in your little opus? kitty

Let's just say I did me a heap of junk eating while watching this movie. It's a mandatory requirement. Not least of all because of the consistent references to food Unfortunately I am utterly unable to multi-task in that manner when watching any of Mr. Morrissey's films, though in terms of eating specifically, it's probably because the drooling has already hit thoroughly unmanageable levels already. I think it was one of the first things I got from Netflix, actually. As we've already noted elsewhere, the man's back catalogue is truly impressive...in every possible sense. Yes, that's in keeping with my longtime policy of, "See whut I did thar? I give...aaand then I take away." I've no idea what you're on about there... *tries desperately to look innocent*

Nonetheless, it's hard proof he hasn't employed a stylist. Kitty was kind enough to furnish me with the linky goodness to the following photos of Mr. Morrissey at the Skellig screening on 25 March 2009: "That's me, happy-go-lucky... "No, wait...I'm deep, really. GRRRR. See?" (Aw, c'mon, like y'all were never prompted to mock someone out of sheer unbridled sexual frustration before?)

U be dead is already shot. It must be Centurion. Either that, or definitive proof that his barber has a decidedly twisted sense of humour...? So let's review the tally for the 'must-snog-like-crazed-weasels-naotiems' list, shall we? David Morrissey and... ...David Tennant ...John Simm ...Michael Sheen ...Colin Firth (unforgivable-missing-DVD-extras category there) ...Paul McGann ...Timothy Dalton (now that is a switch scenario just waiting to happen!) Though I'm not quite done watching The Water Horse, totally gotta throw Ben Chaplin onto that list too, yo. And as already mentioned to kitty, the dress uni? HOOOWWWLLL!!

U be dead is already shot. It must be Centurion. According to Imdb he's not an official starter for Centurion (yet), but is filming the Lennon biopic atm. (Aw, c'mon, like y'all were never prompted to mock someone out of sheer unbridled sexual frustration before?) No...of course not *whistles idly with hands in pockets* So let's review the tally for the 'must-snog-like-crazed-weasels-naotiems' list, shall we? Okay given your expertise on the matter will add Ben Chaplin to zee list (though I haven't gotten to seeing it yet meself) *thumbs up* Will discuss this further elsewhere though kitty

Hee, thank you so much for posting that link, hon. I'd been meaning to, but hadn't on the grounds that I didn't have anything remotely intelligent to say other than, "Awww...LOL!" (which admittedly doesn't encompass any sort of intelligence whatsoever). And I can't be the only one here who's amused at the fact that we're ascribing any sort of intentional motivation to a straight guy's somewhat unkempt appearance, can I? This reminds of what kitty and I both observed about Someone having an unusually hairy neck in Hilary and Jackie--what is that about? Surely an odd place in which to neglect one's grooming--or was this merely Mr. Morrissey's arcane acknowledgment of the more luxuriantly hirsute styles in vogue during that era?
